Hilary was raised in Chevy Chase, Maryland. Hilary, an avid athlete, was on the traditional path to college until she decided to move to New York to pursue a career in modelling. Her first job was for a clothing company, photographed by Bruce Weber. Hilary’s classic, all-American beauty quickly captured the attention of the industry.

Hilary’s big break came during the Paris Spring/Summer 2006 shows. She was personally cast by Balenciaga’s Nicholas Ghesquiere to walk in his show. The one show began a chain reaction that resulted in bookings for major designers including, Dior, Chanel, Rochas, and YSL, and Valentino, where she opened the show.

After her first show season, David Sims photographed Hilary for the following season’s Balenciaga advertisements. Hilary has since appeared in campaigns for Pucci, Emanuel Ungaro, Blumarine, Roberto Cavalli, Dolce & Gabbana, Etro, Gucci, Ralph Lauren, Donna Karan, Givenchy, St. John, Eres, C&A and Ann Taylor. She can currently be seen in the Fall Winter 20011 ads for Jones NY, Blanco, Estée LauderHilary quickly became a runway favorite and she was named one of models.com “Top Ten New Faces”. She has walked runways around the world for designers such as, Marc Jacobs, Narciso Rodriguez, Zac Posen, Alexander McQueen, Chloe, Hermes, John Galliano, Louis Vuitton, Versace, Givenchy, Karl Lagerfeld, Oscar de la Renta, Michael Kors, Stella McCartney, Proenza Schouler, Donna Karan, Carolina Herrera and Ralph Lauren.

Hilary’s has been captured by many of fashion’s leading photographers including, Steven Meisel, Mario Testino, Craig McDean, Mert & Marcus, David Sims, Inez Van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin, Peter Lindbergh, Patrick Demarchelier, and Arthur Elgort. She has appeared on the covers of Vogue (American, Italian, French, Spanish, German, Korean. Chinese), W, Self Service, Dazed & Confused, ELLE (France, Italy, Canada, Quebec, Korea), L’Officiel¡

In 2007, Hilary became the newest face of Estee Lauder. She is featured in advertising campaigns for skincare, makeup, and the brand’s newest fragrance, Sensuous. “Great faces sell great products, and Hilary is a great beauty,” said Aerin Lauder, “She is one of fashion’s brightest stars and her sophisticated all-American look has captivated the attention of the fashion and beauty world in a very short time. Hilary is perfect for Estēe Lauder.”

Hilary was named one of the highest paid models by Forbes magazine and when not modeling she enjoys playing field hockey and tennis.

2009 also marked Hilary’s debut in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition being 2010 her consolidation as one of most famous Sports Illustrated models.

Hilary’s coming soon projects are back to runway and shoot the 2011 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition.
